Five days to surgery. Toodles "says" she's excited to get her tonsils out. I think she's just a little bit nervous. It may be mother's intuition or the fact that she asks me several times a day to tell her about her operation ;). She also is asking grandma and papa to explain it to her and then she explains it all to whatever animal is nearby.
I decided to give her the surgery present ahead of time since she probably won't feel much like playing with it afterwards. She got a "Dancing Genevieve" barbie and has been dancing with her nonstop. The toy companies need to remember a few things when they create these toys. The first thing is a volume switch. The second is not to have the toy instruct the child to do things that are not only difficult, but potentially dangerous. This doll has the child lift both arms above the head, lift her leg up behind or in front of her and then spin - give me a break!
