Making people laugh is a Gift

Kaitlyn definitely has the gift of making people laugh. Yesterday I asked her how old a girl in her class was because she is so much taller than the other kids. She told me that she was 7. I asked her if she had told her this or if she just thought that was how old she was. She tells me that she just knows these things because she can read people's minds. I said that was really great and she said "I can even read my own mind!" Later on she also informed me that she knew that something was going to happen because she is "Side Kick". I told her that was really good, but the word is "Psychic".

Christmas Decorating Day

The long awaited Christmas decorating day has finally arrived. Toodles was up bright and early and ready to get started. She is aware that Daddy needs to sleep until about 11:00 because he worked all night. That's OK......she has started moving things to make room for the tree. She is also planning out all the decorating. I'm just waiting to see what she comes up with for the stockings since we no longer have a mantel. She has already informed me that we need to plan on moving several pieces of furniture.

Awesome Night

Last night was our annual outing to the Christmas Light show at Northfield Mall. It is a light show to the music of Trans Siberian Orchestra. This year our neighbors Mario & Cheryl went with us. Toodles was in heaven. She was at her favorite light show with Cheryl and got popcorn to boot. In her words "That was an awesome night!!!"

It got even better when we went to see Dr. Braddock today. He has learned a new technique that is supposed to 'De-sensitize' the body to certain foods that it is either allergic to or is not processing. Today, he started this process with cheese. He will then work on a new food item on her subsequent visits. Kaitlyn will be able to eat the foods she has been having problems with - in moderation. Her face lit up like it was Christmas morning and momma about cried to see her this way!

Let's hang out with Grandma & Papa

Kaitlyn is just a pretty great little girl. Friday night at dinner, I asked her what she would like to do that night. I was expecting something like 'Get Ice Cream', 'Go Shopping' or 'Go to a Movie'. Instead she just gets this big smile on her little face and says 'Let's go hang out sith Grandma & Papa'. Now how great is that?
